The Research Lab is a building which enables the capability to research new machines, transports, vehicles, edicts, and recipes. It is one of the only buildings in the game which does not have a pre-requisite research and one of the first buildings which the player should erect.
Later researches require the building and staffing of more advanced variants, each with increased Worker, Electricity, and Unity requirements.
