The Nuclear Reactor II is a machine which generates large amounts of Steam (High) from Water for use in generators. The machine can use 2 type of fuels: Uranium Rods and MOX Rods. The machine itself is self-sufficient with regards to power and requires no Electricity from outside sources.
Power is generated by passing the output Steam (High) though High-pressure Turbines and Low-pressure Turbines with their output shaft connected to Power Generators, typically Tier 2 variants of each. A majority of the Water can subsequently be recovered for reuse using a Cooling Tower (Large).
Heat Exchange and Overheat
See Nuclear Reactor
Automatic Regulation
If Automatic Regulation is enabled, the reactor will regulate the power level based on the heat demand. It means the power will automatically reduce when Water is empty or Steam (High) in the reactor is full. So, the regulation will prevent overheating.
However, the regulation cannot go below the first power level (X1). Emergency cooling is mandatory if Water supply or Steam (High) consumption can drop below the amount of the first level (X1). In other cases, emergency cooling is not mandatory but highly recommended.
Recipes
Below are all the recipes, which this building is capable of producing. Note, that some of them may be locked behind Research, and not immediately available in your game.
This article invokes definition of game's source data (either directly, or with one or several template invokes). Editing it will result in updates to some of the stored tables, which in turn updates automated data lists. See more. If you've found incorrect data, related to this article's topic, it is a good place to start searching for definitions, requiring updates. |
