The Quartz Mine is an Outpost found on the World Map which provides a finite (or infinite, depending on game settings) supply of Quartz. As of Beta 0.3.11 (2022-01-23), there are always two Quartz Mines visible and reachable on the map with repair costs increasing along with distance from the home island.
If The Ship is equipped with the radar ship upgrade, it is possible to discover two additional, but currently unreachable Quartz Mine nodes.
Repair and output potential
After discovery on the World Map, the Quartz Mine must be repaired before it can be utilized. The Quartz Mine extracts resources from a unlimited deposit.
Level | Repair Cost | Storage Capacity | Maximum Production |
---|---|---|---|
2 | 300 × Construction Parts III | 2120 × Quartz | 16 / 20 (48 / 60 ) |
4 | 300 × Construction Parts III | 4930 × Quartz | 32 / 20 (96 / 60 ) |
6 | 420 × Construction Parts III | 5640 × Quartz | 48 / 20 (144 / 60 ) |
8 | 540 × Construction Parts III | 6340 × Quartz | 64 / 20 (192 / 60 ) |
10 | 660 × Construction Parts III | 7040 × Quartz | 80 / 20 (240 / 60 ) |
12 | 780 × Construction Parts III | 7750 × Quartz | 96 / 20 (288 / 60 ) |
14 | 900 × Construction Parts III | ???? × Quartz | 112 / 20 (336 / 60 ) |
Resource extraction
In order to produce any output, the Quartz Mine must be manned. Each outpost can support a variable amount of shifts, equivalent to the level of the outpost.
Output (per shift) | Cost (per shift) | Total amount |
---|---|---|
