Step 1: Start a new game
Start a new game, use the default island and the difficulty "CAPTAIN".

Notes:
- Rationale 010: This enables us to pause the game at 1 January 0001 instead of 2 January 0001.
- Clarification 010: This does not display the MESSAGE CENTER yet. If you want to see the MESSAGE CENTER now, click the button in the toolbar at the bottom of the screen.
